After another excursion with “my new best friend” it hopefully looks like I’ve found a place to live.
It’s a two bedroom place in an apartment building – complete with a dining room, kitchen and small lobby area. He has a tenant who is moving out on 15th – the place will be redecorated – and all being well I move in on 21st – the last day of my allocated 30 days in the hotel.
I also get my own servant to cook and clean the place – and he’s also going to instal a new flat screen TV so I will hopefully be able to watch The Ashes.

- The Bloodaxe is a 55 year old Grammar School Educated Yorkshireman with a BSc Econ (Hons) from University College Cardiff (1977 to 1980). For degree he studied Economics and Industrial Relations – where he picked up Anarcho Syndicalism as a political philosophy. He also acquired an interest in rugby and thanks to a series by Michael Woods on the BBC the “Dark Ages” and history in general. He didn’t do history beyond second year at Grammar School – as he didn’t like the teacher and it was always about the boring bits (e.g. the life of an Anglo Saxon peasant) rather than the bloody bits (e.g. The War of the Roses or World War Two). Leaving university he found himself with a dead end company for three years before ending up in the Oil & Gas Industry – where he has worked for an international contracting company for over 25 years in Procurement. This has seen him work in places as varied as Ireland, Italy, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, the USA, China and India. Most of this travel has been during the past ten years. He continues to read quite a bit of history and subscribes to The Economist and The New Statesman magazines.
